Please join us on Tuesday, September 15, for a telephonic press briefing with Major General Joe Jarrard, U.S. Army Europe Deputy Commanding General for the Army National Guard, Major General David Tabor, Special Operations Command Europe Commander, and Brigadier General Irakli Tchitchinadze, Deputy Chief of the Georgian Defense Forces. The speakers will discuss NOBLE PARTNER 2020, a U.S. Army Europe and Georgian Defense Force cooperatively led exercise ongoing in Georgia.

Approximately 2,800 military members from the nations of France, Georgia, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, will participate in exercise NOBLE PARTNER 2020 from September 7-18, 2020. The speakers will take questions from participating journalists.

BIOS:

Maj. Gen. Joe Jarrard, a native of Dahlonega, Georgia, assumed his duties as U.S. Army Europe Deputy Commanding General for Army National Guard April 1, 2019.

Maj. Gen. Jarrard graduated from North Georgia College and commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army in 1988. He served on active duty for more than 20 years.

Appointed by the governor of the State of Georgia in 2014, Maj. Gen. Jarrard served as the 42nd Adjutant General of Georgia. Previously, he served for more than three years as the Assistant Adjutant General - Army and Commanding General of the Georgia Army National Guard. His full bio can be found here.

Maj. Gen. David H. Tabor currently serves as the Assistant Commanding General, Joint Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In this role, he oversees the study of special operations requirements and techniques, ensuring interoperability and equipment standardization. JSOC personnel also plan and conduct special operations exercises and training while developing joint special-operations tactics, techniques and procedures.

Maj. Gen. Tabor graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 1992 after earning his commission through ROTC. He earned his wings at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi and is a command pilot with more than 2,300 hours in a variety of Special Operations Forces aircraft. He has spent the majority of his career in special operations, deploying in support of operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bosnia and Kosovo.
